Planned breeding

A breeding programme built around better generations

Our breeding programme combines Indian Gir heritage with Brazilian-influenced genetics, including imported semen. The farm reports experience with artificial insemination over an approximately three-year period; this is historical information. Selective natural breeding and controlled bull selection complement AI, with bulls kept in separate enclosures. Pedigree and milk records support selection for milk-production potential, udder structure and body conformation, with the aim of developing better cattle generations.

Purposeful spaces for everyday care

The farm uses open cattle housing and movement areas, separate bull enclosures, camera-monitored calving areas and calf-rearing spaces arranged by age. Water troughs, drainage and cleaning arrangements support daily care. Tractor-accessible feeding pathways, own fodder production, mineral and vitamin nutrition, and manual milk and pedigree records are part of the management system. The layout is designed to make routine cattle care more organised and reduce manual labour.
